Even more amazing is the abundance of free programs out there that can perform just about any task you need done. There are simply too many programs out there to list them all. For this reason, I ask that any programs not in this list that are freeware and are of decent quality, you post about here. Posts will be moderated before they appear to prevent malicious attacks. Any suggested software must be completely free, not just a free trial. Finally to start the list...
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/p ersonal.html - Mozilla Firefox - An excellent web browser with ability to add-on to itself with extensions. No freeware list can be complete without it.

My username might no longer be just internet slang...

I haven't had any luck getting a crew into the forums so I am going to have to take advantage of my profile. First off I need to obviously explain the purpose of such a crew. Yes, while there are probably programming crews out there, I have not seen any which are quite the same as what I am trying to accomplish. So what is that I want to do, you ask? The answer is simple. I do not have money to spare (or a method to send it) to donate to the honorable open source movement. I still however, want to support it. Finally there is one last problem. Outside the .NET Framework, it is very difficult to develop decent applications. Microsoft's Visual Studio just makes it a heck of a lot easier.
Ok, sounds good and all, but what is required of members? Nothing more than is reasonable. Just contribute positively and use common sense (in the case that you don't have common sense, you shouldn't be here in the first place). I mean obviously illegal posts WILL be deleted and I will contact an administrator. As a simple rule of thumb, remember, if it breaks any rules set fourth by Newgrounds, do NOT post it! This means no discussion of illegal actions. No ROMs, no P2P, torrents, nothing. Any attempt to bypass any rules set fourth by Newgrounds in this post or any of my news posts will get you reported to an administrator along with being banned from posting in my profile and sending me messages.
As a quick reference, here is a summary:
- Do not attempt to bypass any rules set fourth by Newgrounds.
- Feel free to develop only non-harmful .NET-based applications. Upload them to a good file host and post a link here. (or use your own website if you prefer as it would be better as long as it does not break any rules of NG.)
- Your application must have the source code available upon request and must be free. It also can not be licensed in a way which does not permit free modifications.
- This project is a tribute to all the great open source software out there. Thanks to many hard working developers, we can hope to one day be free from the chains of software monopolies.
